This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Social-emotional learning is so important to my resource students. Oftentimes they have difficulty when upset to calm back down without help. This calming corner will provide my students with a safe space to calm down and to refocus themselves as needed.
The pillows, fidgets, books, and posters will help to provide my students with resources and tools to help them when they are having a tough time managing their emotions.
If my students are having difficulty regulating their emotions, they are unable to access the academic parts of their day.
