Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

There are 13 students in my 1st Grade ICT blended learning classroom and 8 in my Kindergarten ICT blended learning classroom. My students are from low-income families. Many of the students have limited resources at home. Most of the students rely on school resources to learn their academics. Parents often borrow supplies from the school and classrooms to further assist their children's education at home.

Many students have IEPs, special services, ​and ENL services.

Since our students have a variety of needs, we want to create a welcoming and warm environment for our students to learn in. Our students benefit from routines and organization so they can be comfortable and ready to learn.

My Project

My classroom recently got merged into a blended Kindergarten and 1st grade blended learning classroom. As a result, my co-teachers and I need to find additional supplies to help support our new students during their remote learning. Since our new students are Kindergarteners, we would like to provide them with easy, fun, and engaging games based on phonics, reading, and math. Teachers Pay Teachers has tons of fun activities that we would think our students will benefit from!

NYC Teachers are struggling to accommodate students with all these new changes happening!!

We, teachers, are struggling as our classrooms keep changing. We have to prepare for fully remote classrooms, blended classrooms, and in-person classrooms. In addition, we are an ICT classroom which means we have to support our students who have Autism, Speech needs, OT needs, PT needs, Counseling needs, and English Language needs. We are grateful to the teachers on Teachers Pay Teachers who thoughtfully created a fun and engaging learning activities to help us supplement our teaching. My co-teachers and I will be super grateful for the support of the $100 Teachers Pay Teachers gift card. Thank you!!
