Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We have a diverse population of almost entirely minority students in attendance, including many English learners, and several students who are barely speaking any English. We have great staff members who love the kids and support them in all aspects of their education. Safety is our number one priority in my school.

We hope to provide a well-rounded music education, where music class is “cool,” and kids look forward to coming to class.

We are finding ourselves in need of some supplies to help maintain our growing music program.

My Project

Our Orchestra program is in its infancy right now and we need to make sure that all of our students have quality instruments with all the necessary supplies. These supplies get very costly, and in a school like mine, we provide everything for our students so that they may participate in a class they otherwise may not be able to. Having a quality shoulder rest helps students to feel comfortable while they play and overall helps to facilitate better sound quality. I believe in supplying quality equipment for my kids so that they can learn in an environment similar to those of more fortunate communities. My students will use these shoulder rests each day in class and at home while they practice. Thank you very much for considering a donation to our Orchestra!
