My Students

My classroom is made up predominately of students that have autism. They work hard and are eager to learn. One of the biggest problems we face is lack of durable hands on learning material, which our population seems to thrive on. Our students can succeed, they just need the right tools to do so.

I love to see my students succeed and know that with the right tools, they can!

I want my students to have all avenues of success available. I want my students to succeed and be enthusiastic about their future. I see the determination in their eyes as they are learning something new, but I also see the disappointment in their eyes when they don't have something they need for class.

My Project

My students need Melissa & Doug Wooden Puzzles Alphabet Soup Sorters, Spelligator Game and Learning Resources Pop for Blends Game, hands-on manipulatives in order to reach their full potential. Most of my students are very visual learners and being able to handle materials help them understand it.These educational materials will help my students learn independently and in small group settings. We work on sharing and working together. These materials will assist in our learning environment. I am asking for wooden puzzles and games that will help my student learn their alphabet and to help with counting. The wooden pieces are durable and can withstand the use from students. We have wide ranges of learning abilities. Differentiated lessons and materials help us reach those different ability levels. With the requested materials we will be able to reach each ability level in our classroom. My classroom continues to grow and reach more students. I want a comfortable learning environment for all the students that enter into my classroom. Thank you for your consideration in our project. Your donations make a world of difference.
