Help Us Store Some More for our Core!

Help me give my students easy access to store and retrieve their workbooks for our 10 units of our Core Knowledge Language Arts reading program!

My Project

I teach a full day Kindergarten class at a Title I school, and I love it! My students come from very diverse backgrounds and for many of my students, it is their first exposure to English and a classroom setting. My students speak English, Spanish, Cantonese, and Marshallese. Many of my students come from limited English proficiency homes, and half of them come from very low socioeconomic backgrounds. Sadly, some also come from homes with a trauma background and experience food and housing scarcity. The structure and routine school provide them with is often the only time they experience security.

I would like to request 2 sets of wooden storage bins to store all of the workbooks that come with our new reading program; it has been an unmet challenge to store 10 workbooks x 24 kiddos this year, and even more difficult to provide any kind of easy access for my kindergarten students to retrieve these books when needed.

By donating to this project, you can help me to be able to provide my students with a dedicated place to store and have easy access to their reading workbooks that accompany our CKLA reading program and help them find order and routine in our busy and small classroom!
