My Students
As a teacher in a low income school, I know my students are faced with everyday challenges. Despite the many challenges they face, they are all happy children who love to read, move, talk, and play.
I love my second grade students!
Our class is made up of 52 amazing second grade individuals, all completely different. Many of our students are new to the country or only speak a limited amount of English. But that does not stop them from working hard and growing. I want to provide life changing experiences that will stay with them forever.
My Project
Having book bins would allow my students to store their items, making it easier to find and keep them from tear and wear. My students have leveled books that they need to keep and many times the books get lost or torn, making them difficult to work with. Each of my 52 students also has a Data Folder where they keep all their testing data and goal setting forms. We currently keep them all in one tub and this makes it hard for them to find their folder. Several folders have even been misplaced and lost. These book bins would be shared by my students and reused every year.
