My Students
After teaching 1st grade for 2 years, I am very excited to have the opportunity to teach 4th grade! 4th graders are full of independence, excitement, and uniqueness. I am looking forward to all the new memories I will create in 4th grade. I teach in a Dual Immersion school, where my students spend half the day with me learning in English, and half the day with my partner teacher learning in Spanish. I have a very diverse group of students, with many different needs, abilities, and learning styles. I hope to always have the proper resources to ensure my students are as successful as they can possibly be. I look forward to all the things we will learn together this year!
My Project
This school year is proving to be one of the hardest we have had since the pandemic started. With students behind in their learning and the anxiety they are experiencing, it is important that I can create a safe, exciting, motivating, and helpful classroom for each student.
I am asking for a variety of supplies I have noticed my class needing.
They are in need of tools that will help them practice and review 4th-grade skills. My students need a review of skills such as multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction facts. Having a set of flashcards will help them quickly and easily review their facts. I am also finding that my students need books that they are interested in to help motivate them to read, which will also help improve their reading level. We are also seeing our students needing a little extra push of motivation, so adding some incentives and prizes for when they master their math facts or see an improvement in their reading scores will really help.
Receiving these items would take a lot of stress off looking for the supplies I need to help my students be successful and motivated in my classroom.
