Help Us Stay in Tune—Literally!

Help me give my students the tools they need to succeed in band by providing tuners and tuner clips to help them develop accurate pitch and better intonation skills.

My Project

In beginning band, developing good intonation is one of the most important skills—and one of the hardest for students to master without support. By providing clip-on tuners for each instrument section, students will be able to see their pitch while they hear it. This visual feedback gives them the confidence to make real-time adjustments and helps them connect their ears, eyes, and embouchure all at once. For our woodwinds, especially, tuners are critical for learning correct mouthpiece pitch—a skill that leads to better tone and tuning down the line.

These tuners will help students take ownership of their sound and become more independent musicians.

They’ll no longer have to guess if they’re sharp or flat—each student can get immediate, personal feedback. As they improve, the entire band’s sound will become more balanced and in tune, leading to more rewarding rehearsals and performances. My goal is to give every student the tools they need to succeed, regardless of experience level or access to supplies at home.

My students are curious, driven, and full of potential. Many of them are picking up an instrument for the very first time, and they deserve equipment that supports their growth and builds strong musical habits from day one. Your support will help them gain confidence, improve faster, and experience the joy of making music together in tune.
