Hello! I teach in a high needs school. Last year I taught a first grade inclusion classroom where half of my students were special education and the other half are regular education. However this year I am very excited because I will be teaching a 12:1:1 class for students with special needs who need a more restrictive environment. My students have a great attitude and really are a lot of fun. In addition they bring a lot of joy to my life.

Unfortunately this year New York City suffered from numerous budget cuts. Due to this fact, Teacher's Choice money (money we can use for our classrooms) was cut drastically. I now have very little money to spend on supplies for my classroom, which is unfortunate because the students are the ones who are suffering the most due to lack of supplies.

Due to the fact that I have a special needs population, they require many resources(visual aids, manipulatives, etc) to help them learn. These supplies will help me greatly because it will allow me to differentiate to meet the individual needs of my students. In order to differentiate to meet their individual needs, I need the supplies!

We really need your help! These supplies will really help me differentiate for my students and help them be successful in their academic journeys.
