This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are bright, eager learners who come to school each day ready to explore new ideas. However, many of them arrive without a nutritious breakfast, which makes it difficult to focus, stay engaged, and absorb lessons effectively. Studies show that children who start the day with a balanced meal perform better academically, have improved behavior, and develop healthier lifelong habits.
This project will provide my students with individual cereal boxes, ensuring that every child has access to a simple yet essential meal to fuel their morning.
By removing hunger as a barrier to learning, I can help create a classroom environment where students feel supported, energized, and ready to succeed. When students’ basic needs are met, they are more likely to participate actively, develop confidence in their abilities, and build stronger connections with their peers and teachers.
