Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school community regularly has students unable to participate in recess, free time, or PE due to injury or illness. The students often sit on a bench in the office or passively reside at an outside table without anything to do.

The items requested would be organized by students in our class for use by their fellow students , across all grade levels, as they recover.

As outlined by the Allstate this project will "promote wellness," allowing students to support other students who may be sick, injured, or in need. From games to Madlibs, to tools for organization, this project will allow students to support their own school community. The idea that our classroom students would be organizing and implementing this school wide system to help students across grade levels will empower them, help them develop empathy, and empower them to continue their quest of helping others.
