My Project
Learning and understanding how we are feeling is an important tool to be successful at school, at home, and in extracurricular activities. Learning to recognize and feel our emotions and, more importantly, respond to our emotions is a life skill that will serve my students well for many years to come. The collection of books (A Little SPOT of Emotion, Life Skills, Feelings, Learning, etc) I am requesting will be a great resource to open the conversation about feelings and emotions and respond to them.
I am looking forward to the group read-aloud and group discussions about our feelings.
Returning to the classroom and interacting with others after a break due to the pandemic has brought many challenges. I am working with my second graders on learning how to identify, respond, and react to various feelings and emotions they have throughout the day, and I know these book collections will help guide many discussions.
