Help me give my students an opportunity to sow the seeds of learning through hands-on gardening lessons tied to Next Generation Science Standards.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Torres's classroom raised $856
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Providing WP Elementary School students with soil to grow seeds in our amazing school garden will provide them with rich scientific learning experiences. The goal for this project is to conduct hands-on gardening lessons linked to Next Generation Science Standards, PK-5 grade. Our Walnut Park students are culturally and linguistically diverse. We look forward to how this will be reflected in our school garden. From cilantro to cacti plants, we aspire to reflect our cultures and languages in a garden full of LIFE!!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
