My students need 35 dry erase boards with multi-colored markers and a digital voice recorder for a multi-unit lesson on pitch and music notation.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Tucker's classroom raised $558
This project is fully funded
In the music classroom, it is at times difficult to make learning notes on the musical staff fun and interesting for students. Most children are hands on learners. This being the case, my idea is to create multi-unit lessons centering around grades 3-5.
Each student will have their personal dry erase board and pencil. I will prepare the boards with electrical tape with 5 lines to represent a musical staff. The digital recorder will be used to pre-record pitch examples for the students to listen too and draw on their dry erase boards.
The digital recorder will also be a valuable tool for the teacher to incorporate at any grade level. The digital recorder will allow the teacher to record performances and upload them to our school's website for all parents and visitors to listen too.
At times when our student's need music the most as a part of our educational curriculum, I urge you to consider funding this vital project to help a music program succeed for children's' sake.
