Help me give my students the opportunity to plan activities around our school. Like creating posters of kindness, treat bags for new students, and the Kindness Kart for teachers at our school.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am so fortunate to be able to teach the most amazing students at Pony Express Elementary. This project is in support of a school club I have started called The Kindness Crew. The Kindness Crews' mission is to help the students at our school feel Kindness and plan activities that encourage kindness at the school.
When creating this club, I knew that our school staff and students have been continuously dealing with the stress of Covid-19 in their lives.
This club has been created to give every student and staff member at our school the chance to feel something more positive than that stress.
Our club has planned various activities and ideas to improve the wellness of our students.
My Project
I am extremely excited about this project at our school! I have been interested in starting a Kindness Crew to improve the health and wellbeing of each student and staff member at our school.
Our crew has wonderful ideas about encouraging kindness throughout the year.
Each item you help us receive will allow our students to be able to speak kindness to the school. The safety vests will be worn in the morning as the student great each student kindly. They will use the as recess monitors to encourage and rewards students for being kind. The cardstock and paper will be used to create posters around the school and write kind notes for students. The various snacks and food will be used to create a Teacher Kart to celebrate teachers at our school and to have a reward for students who are being kind at recess. The bags, pencils, and stickers, will be used to create a welcome kit for students who move into our school! Donating to our project helps to get the kindness kickoff that we need to really improve the health and wellbeing of our school.
