FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Bates's classroom raised $597
This project is fully funded
I teach Fifth grade at a public school in Greenwood, Indiana, Southwest Elementary School. I am one of four teachers in my grade. We currently have 2 microscopes combined to share and use with all of our students. Currently, our school corporation does not have the money to help my colleagues or me buy any more microscopes. When you have 22 students crowding around 2 microscopes, it does not allow me to have an effective Science lesson. I am asking for an additional 3 lighted microscopes to help me teach my students. These microscopes would benefit not only the students I have this year, but all the students yet to come.
Indiana State Standards require teachers, like myself, to teach the students about the technology scientists use in our world today. It is really hard for a student to truly understand what a scientist does without the proper technology for them to use. Please help me educate my students so that one day they may become a scientist themselves.
