My students need a farewell send off to Kindergarten with t shirts and candy bars. They have worked extremely hard this year. I want to make this a memorable time for them and give them a great outlook to further their education.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have worked very hard this year and 88% of them know their alphabets, sounds, and numbers to 20.
They enter our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
I teach at a Title I school where the teacher provides most of the supplies for her class due to economical reasons. At my school our kids are taught responsibility, eagerness to learn, despite many hardships. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My parents are wonderful and help out in any way they can. Most of their help is not monetary and I would like to give their child the best send-off to Kindergarten from PreK I can.
My Project
We have an awards ceremony at the end of May. I would like to buy each child a shirt that says "Straight into Kindergarten." I have purchased sailor hats and with my Cricut I will create each child a hat and as I had them their little PreK certificate I will cap with a sailor hat. I have also asked for decorations and little favor boxes along with Hershey bars and wraps. For the drinks, we have asked for water. As teachers, we are always trying to make a better connection between school and family and I would really like to make this day special for both. The day is for making memories.
