Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every student deserves a classroom where they feel comfortable, supported, and ready to learn. My students show up eager and motivated every day. However, challenges like a lack of supplies and a need for a clean, organized space can make it difficult for them to focus.
The items I am requesting will help ensure that my students—who are bright, motivated, and full of potential—have what they need to thrive.
A new teacher chair and stool to replace ones that have been broken will allow me to move around and teach effectively. Multi skin-toned band-aids ensure all students feel seen and valued, reinforcing inclusivity in even the smallest details.
Snacks help students focus, especially those who come to school hungry and struggle to concentrate. Markers and crayons allow them to creatively engage with historical concepts through projects and activities.
Wet wipes, tissues, and disinfectant wipes are necessary for maintaining a clean and healthy environment, reducing illness and distractions. A new tension rod for a curtain will restore the curtain that is used for our window, minimizing disruptions and creating a more focused learning space.
My students are bright, hardworking, and full of potential. These items will help remove barriers to learning, allowing them to stay engaged and succeed. With your support, I can provide a classroom where they feel valued, comfortable, and ready to grow. Thank you for helping make that possible!
