This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As an elementary teacher, I’ve seen how the right books can completely change how students feel about reading. In our classroom, Dog Man and The Bad Guys are two of the most popular series—students of all reading levels are drawn to their humor, action, and engaging illustrations. These books are loved so much that many have been read until the covers wore out or, unfortunately, have gone missing.
We’re hoping to replace our well-loved copies and add extras so that more students can enjoy them at once.
Right now, there are often long waits to read these books, and it can be discouraging when a favorite story isn’t available. By restocking these high-interest series, I can ensure students always have access to books they’re genuinely excited to read.
Your support will help us maintain a classroom library that reflects student interests and encourages a lifelong love of reading. Thank you for helping me create an environment where all students can access books that inspire, excite, and help them grow.
