This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from many different backgrounds and many times have a hard time finding books they can relate to. Reading books that are culturally relevant will help my students be less reluctant to reading and help them fall in love with reading about characters they can see themselves in.

My students need books about characters they can relate with real life cultural experiences.New books with diverse characters will motivate students to read more.

These books will expose my students to characters and authors that are very much like them and motivate them to embrace reading, their culture and the struggles and triumphs we all experience.
