My Students

My students are struggling readers who come to "Reading Club" every day for thirty minutes in a small group setting. I try to make each child feel very successful in our lessons. Our school is Title One school with a very diverse background. Some of my kids are from different countries.

I try to keep a variety of books since many of my students have different abilities and interests.

Many of them are beginning to be interested in chapter books.

My Project

Awesome books will encourage my students to read. They love to read a variety of text and discuss the different features! I ordered 3 of the same text so the kids can make a little book club and have snacks while they read and enjoy books. I feel this will foster a love of reading! Once we truly experience how fun and exciting reading can be, I'm hoping they will enjoy becoming lifelong readers! Our student population is over eighty percent free or reduced price meals. These kids desperately need lots of literature to foster a love of reading. Thank you so much in advance.
