My Students
I have an enthusiastic group of 2nd grade students that are eager to learn. We are a Title I school that services low income/disadvantaged students. In addition, the majority of our students are English Language Learners and most of their parents are non English speakers.
Regardless of their circumstances, my students continually put their best foot forward striving to not let anything get in their way.
I'm such a lucky teacher to work with these kids and to get to know their families. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, our school along with others, have been closed for the rest of the school year. My students are currently learning from home through digital lessons. Many are using borrowed devices from our school district to support their learning.
My Project
These Dog Man books will help my students to continue to practice their reading skills during the school closure. Many of my students do not have any books at home to read, and all libraries are closed. With us all having the same books, we can have book discussions during our distance learning.
This is an engaging reading series that students will find of interest, and will have a hard time putting down.
Please help me give my students these Dog Man books so they will not only be able to read now, but will also become part of their new home library to help create life long readers.
