This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are 6th through 8th grade students that are enrolled in my mathematics classes. My school site is situated in an urban community. My students' math skills range in varying levels of mathematical concept development and skill level. My students also range in English language skills from English being their first language to students who are learning the language. The students I service are from low to mid-socioeconomic homes. They are eager learners who strive to do their best!
My Project
With allergy season and the pandemic, it's crucial to have the healthiest air quality in our classroom. I'd like to get an air purifier with filters to offer a healthy breathing environment for my students. Our current air filtration system is good, but I know that by having an air purifier, I can offer a healthier breathing environment for my students. Several of my students are allergy sufferers, and I know that this air purifier will help them immensely. Thank you in advance for your consideration and in helping us get an air purifier into our classroom.
