My Students

I teach a rockstar group of fifth graders who are eager and motivated learners.

My students come from all areas of town, mostly from an urban setting. I want my classroom to be a place where they can comfortably learn in a safe and exciting environment. This group is extremely diverse in their special learning needs and abilities. Together, as a class, we strive to work together as a team and become the best we can possibly be.

My Project

Many students do not have printers or the ones they do have are faulty. All students need access to a printer as it will ensure there are hard copies of their work. My hope is that students will begin to enjoy writing that much more because what they create will be more appealing visually. My class also just received an entire class set of Chromebooks. Now all they need is a printer to finalize their work! By providing our classroom with its own HP printer/copier, I will be able to make modifications for students who need additional practice or differentiate homework for students who have mastered the lesson. Teaching often requires spur-of-the-moment changes to meet the needs of all learners.
