Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are incredibly talented and creative. I would love to be able to provide my students with more supplies to create unique and personalized projects that they will be proud to make and keep, but our supplies run out quickly with so many students. The things we run out of the quickest are watercolor pencils, watercolors, and Sharpies. This donation would make a big difference to my students.
I am only able to order the bare necessities at the beginning of the year, and I make the best use of our money as possible, but we still run short on supplies by the end of the year.
My talented students LOVE to use watercolors, and Sharpies. These supplies allow them to achieve growth in their abilities as artists. Artists only get better with practice, therefore the more supplies that I can offer them, the better their art will be.
My Project
These watercolor pans, watercolor pencils, and Sharpies would be very valuable assets to my students. We run out each year and it's always a sad day when that day arrives. We have run out this year already and they are very disappointed that they can no longer use them. My students really enjoy working with watercolors because they are easy to use and it allows them a positive outlet to express their creativity.
"Art is not what you see but what you make others see." Degas once said this.
It's one of my favorite quotes. It's so true because each student has the ability to shine when they use watercolors. No matter what they create, their art is always priceless once a Sharpie is used to outline and define their imagination.
