My Project
My students walk into our school library with excitement in their eyes. They can't wait to be able to let their imagination go wild in the library Makerspace. You can see students taking apart and putting together computers, designing 3-D models, constructing structures, learning about circuitry, or playing board games. You will also see students curled up in the corner reading a book or asking me for a new book for them to read. It always puts a smile on my face when they come back to me, after reading a book, to tell me how much they loved a book.
The library has become a safe place, where my students have an opportunity to experience things that they might not be able to experience otherwise, and one of the best parts about my school is that we have such a diverse background of students!
This project will help us keep our busy library organized and functioning as best as it can. The book display stands will allow us to be able to space books out on our library shelves. This will help us showcase the beautiful and diverse books that are in our collection. The rolling bin and storage containers will help us organize the LEGO bricks that we are blessed to have. It will also allow me to create an opportunity for my teachers to check out these bins of LEGO bricks to use with their classes as well! Throughout the year, I get books that I give away to my students that way they have access to books at home. This book cart will give me the perfect place to house these books right outside our library door. Thank you for your kindness and for helping us to make our library the best that it can be!
