My Students

Reading a social studies book can be tedious. Help our students learn about the past while increasing their literacy skills through novels about actual events and people.

My students are special students who are in a general education setting for their English Language Arts instruction.

They are a fun group of kids and are eager to learn along their grade level peers. Our school is unique and accepts students for who they are and we strive to help each individual to reach their full potential.

My Project

My students need 35, a classroom set, Number the Stars books. A story that will help bring history to life! Our students will use these books to learn about World War II. Students will gain an in depth knowledge about what was happening during this time as well as a greater understanding of the underlying values and beliefs of different people.

This project will all students in the classroom to have their own book.

It will increase their knowledge of an important piece of history while increasing their literacy. It will also allow for special education students to be a part of the general education environment.
