My Project
Each year, students at our school compete in a district-wide reading competition called Name That Book. Even our youngest readers have the chance to show what they know and many continue to compete after they leave elementary school.
Exposing readers to a variety of books is not only beneficial from a literacy standpoint, but it can also show them that there is a big world around them that they have yet to experience.
Fostering a love of reading and building life-long literacy skills is such an important part of the library and Name That Book is just one way that we do that.
