it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students walk through the doors of my elementary school ready to learn. They are eager learners that use the resources available to them to become better mathematicians. They know that to be successful in the real world they must develop excellent number sense. They are taught to love math and use it every day as a source of enjoyment.
My students are hungry for knowledge about the world they will soon inherit.
We have amazing support from our families. Even with family support additional money is needed to provide my students with resources to be amazing mathematicians.
My Project
Using dry erase markers during small group instruction gives students the opportunity to make corrections quickly. Currently, my students have had to use pencil and paper to solve problems. This is effective but, eliminates a certain amount of creativity and individuality in their answers. Adding a certain color or a simple drawing to a math problem can truly inspire a student to work harder.
The use of new dry erase markers makes participation in small group instruction more enjoyable for my students.
They will make solving and correcting problems in the small group easier. Thank you for your support of my classroom.
