Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a great group of students in a large urban high poverty district. As you can imagine, the district budget is extremely tight, and we are often unable to get needed supplies.
All of my children are ready to learn, and they deserve better than what can be provided.
My 45 children are special to me as they have reinvigorated me in my teaching career. They love coming to my class, and I get excited seeing them each and every day.
My Project
I teach in a low-income urban area and we lack some items that would help our classroom. The school budget does not go as far as we would like so our requested items would be an asset.
My students are inquisitive and love to learn but they don't have everything they need to help them succeed.
Some simple items would fill the learning gap.
The classroom and organization items such as the rulers, cardboard scissors, math posters, laminator machine, and storage unit will help my students in our STEAM curriculum. The camera and film will be a fun item for our field trips to help them remember our great learning experience.
