This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am writing to seek your support for my special needs classroom, where many of my students face significant fine motor challenges and cognitive delays. We are in need of specialized items and activities that have been developed to address these physical and cognitive needs. These tools will not only help my students build essential fine motor skills and master the process of learning to write, but they will also support the development of functional writing skills. In particular, the Learning without Tears student manipulative packs will allow the neediest students to access beginning letter formation and develop the skill in sequence while utilizing various kinesthetic forms of engagement.

Additionally, the math manipulatives/Montessori set, the ten frame packs, the cash register, base ten blocks, and magnetic bills will make a huge difference in my students' engagement in math activities with these fine motor hands on tools.

The variety with in this order will allow for all students across multiple grade levels and cognitive levels in my class to participate.

The twist-able crayons will help specific students whose grips often break crayons and allow them to practice coloring skills.

Moreover, the sensory timer will allow the students to stay on task without over stimulation from traditional timing devices. their own confidence, enabling them to better participate in their learning.

Lastly, the headphones will allow students at various levels engage with online math programs, social emotional programs, and activities specifically and individually geared toward them without distracting other students.

Needless to say these vital resources are not provided by the school, making your generosity even more crucial in helping them succeed. Your donation will have a lasting impact on their educational journey, and I deeply appreciate your consideration.
