Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our softball team is made up of students from five local schools. Together, we are learning about the sport and getting to know each other at the same time. Many of our players have never played softball before so together, we are learning to understand the rules and concepts of the game.
We are in need of some basic supplies such as cleats and gloves as well as more unique items such as tees to hit from.
Our team is learning with every practice and game that we have and by funding our request, you will help us get even better!
My Project
By donating to our cause, you will help to provide tools so that our girls can learn how to play softball. Many of our players have never played before but are enjoying the game. With your donations we can be even better prepared for next year's softball season!
We have asked for softball mitts for our right-handed players, batting tees to learn proper hitting mechanics, and batting gloves to help lessen the sting during our cold Michigan practices and games.
The players are working hard on and off the field to be student-athletes and I would love to help provide them with some amazing tools to use on the field.
