My Students

My students are a diverse, fun, and excited group of kids. These students mostly come from low-income families, are currently reading below grade level and many have IEP's. They are working on their reading skills and are in need of books and materials that are at a lower reading level but at a higher interest level. The students are also in need of phonics-based lessons and manipulatives to help them grow as readers.

Putting all of those differences aside, they all work hard each and every day, have huge hearts which care greatly about their classmates and come to class excited to learn each and every day.

They make me proud to be a part of their journey. They are anxious to learn each and every day and make me so happy to be their teacher. Each student makes our classroom a fun, caring, and safe place to learn. We all support each other at whatever level we may be, celebrate our successes, and work together to improve our weaknesses.

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers is a great website to find materials and ideas to use in the classroom. Oftentimes, teachers need new and fresh ideas to help drive instruction and this is a great resource.

Teachers Pay Teachers offers materials to be used immediately in the classroom.

My intervention students will benefit from the resources on the website in helping them improve their reading and comprehension skills. The website can be broken down by grade level, reading level, etc. to best benefit my students and the levels they are currently at.
