Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are learning how to recognize the value of different coins and bills, and how to add them together to use them in a real life setting.
They learn best with hands-on materials, and need to use play money to practice for real life scenarios.
They also need to see a visual representation as a model as they are learning.
My students are hard workers and try to do their best every day at school. I teach students with extensive support needs. They all have learning disabilities, and need extra support to learn skills that will benefit them throughout the rest of their lives.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
