Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My first and second graders are so excited to begin using their new iPads. Never before have they had personal technology literally at their fingertips! Protecting our investment is my goal.

In our school, we strive to bring 21st century skills to the classroom.

My students have the opportunity to experience, inquire, create, and reflect all through collaboration and with a focus on communication. My students practice reading daily. Using even the simplest features of our iPads, such as the voice recorder, are helping to improve their reading fluency. Together, we can create interactive books and make short films/movies.

My Project

My students have just been provided with five new iPads to bring current technology skills into our classroom! They are very excited to use these for collaborative work and research as they begin studying about plants, animals, and habitats. I will be able to deliver various types of content from quizzes, videos, and info slides directly to the students' iPads. Those students can then send their work and responses back to me. This kind of interaction is only possible because of the iPads.

My students need five iPad cases, a surge protector, and cable ties for easy use and storage while charging.

Having the proper storage and charging set up for our iPads will ensure that they are charged and ready to go for every lesson and every opportunity to learn. This will affect not only the students in my class this year, but those to follow for the years to come.
