it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The girls' high school soccer team made it to 3rd place in our district this past season—an incredible achievement, especially considering we had just 5 soccer balls for 25 players. As coaches at a low-income school, we often purchase gear like socks and shin guards out of pocket. The boys’ team faces the same challenge, with only 5 balls for 30 players.
But this is about more than just equipment.
Sports keep our students connected, motivated, and in school. Being part of a team builds confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging—especially for students who face economic or personal challenges. Every practice is a chance to grow on and off the field.
Unfortunately, with so few balls, our practice time is often wasted. Players have to take turns during drills, and some students spend valuable time standing on the sidelines instead of playing and improving. A few more balls would make a huge difference in the quality of our practices and the development of our athletes.
We’re reaching out to ask for your support. A donation of soccer balls would have an immediate impact, allowing us to run more effective practices, build skills, and support our players' growth on and off the field.
