This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My school has been known for excellent academics, building a rich heritage for many years. It has always attracted the best and the brightest students in our city. This is an application school for high-performing and gifted students, serving grades Pre-Kindergarten to 8.

My art students are very talented artists who truly love creating art.

The young artists here create excellent artwork in many mediums. Everyday they impress me with unique ideas and a passion for art. Unfortunately, my art students do not have all the supplies for painting.

My Project

My middle school students are a very talented group of young artist. They want and need to advance their skills in painting. What my students love most about painting is mixing to make new colors. We are painting all the time in art room. We make Portrait paintings, landscape paintings, and animal paintings. My students create sculptures from various mediums that also are painted. The middle school students prefer acrylic paint rather the tempera paint I use with elementary school students. With all this painting we are always running out of colors. We can not keep enough portrait mixing colors like brown and orange the never last long. So we need your help to keep our art class supplied with acrylic paint (at least for this year).
