My Students
Have you ever felt like you're drowning in piles of papers? Often, all those loose papers end up in the trash can. We try to avoid this in my classroom by creating journals to organize our work, and when my students work in small groups they appreciate when I bind their work into Class Books.
My third-grade students are hard-workers who are motivated by seeing the final products they can create, but are still learning the organizational skills that get them to that point.
Our school is a Title 1 school in a low-income family neighborhood.
My Project
We use our staplers so often to create new journals and bind our class books that two of them have broken! We need a selection of staplers that will enable us to put our practice pages for an entire unit into a booklet, reach across to staple the spines of our journals, and create class books of our collaborative work. We also need a single hole punch for organizing our note-taking index cards on binder rings.
Your donations will enable us to maintain our organized classroom and continue to create our journals and class books.
My students are better equipped to retain their learning by using these tools for organizing their notes and practice pages, and are highly motivated by seeing their work published in class books. The materials purchased with these donations will make our class more productive and enjoyable!
