This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are super creative and love to learn! I constantly am looking for more ways to engage them in the math, science and social studies classroom. Our school is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, however, our technology is very limited and outdated.

The students in our schools today need to be taught how to find information and how to personalize their own learning.

Having a computer in their hands would be the ideal way for them to explore various strategies for math problems, research science issues that they are interested in and learn more about their history. Your help will provide them with a technology-rich environment to allow them to spread their wings!

My Project

These Acer Iconia tablets will allow my students more opportunities to interact with the world around them. They need to be able to access information quickly and timely. The ease of a tablet also lets them move about the room and have their information wherever and whenever they need it.

Personalizing their learning and allowing THEM to choose how to learn will increase their engagement.

Having tablets accessible to them will aid in opening more opportunities to engage in their choices. They will also be able to work collaboratively with the other students whether using manipulatives in math or researching science or history topics.
