Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Small group instruction is a huge part of our day in pre-k. However, I don’t currently have seats for my small group table. My students have to bring their chairs from their table to my small group table to work with me. Being that they are 4 and 5 years old, this is NOT easy. My classroom is not large, so it actually makes it challenging to have 5-8 pre-k students dragging their chairs to my table for small groups.

Having these wobbly stools will allow my students to have a seat at the small group table and move their bodies if needed!

4 and 5-year-olds are busy, and it can help them tremendously to get their wiggles out while learning! These stools would also allow our transition into small groups to move smoother and quicker since they won’t be dragging chairs across the room.
