My classroom consist of 28 very unique learners. I have seven students who speak English as a second language. Each one of my students bring something very interesting to the table. Our school is very close to 100% impoverished which, in my opinion, makes my job as an educator even more important. The moment my students walk through the door, I know I have to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them. Each one of them are so bright and inspiring; I love them!
There are a few things that I want to be able to provide for my students when they come into the classroom.
My Project
Giving my students the opportunity to use flexible seating will allow them to learn in their unique element. Not every student is able to learn by sitting in a chair/desk all day. Lap desks will allow students to change their location but still get work done in an organized fashion. Balance balls will help my wiggle worms with their focus during the day. The stools will aide in our group work around the collaboration table.
