This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The headphones in my computer lab are used by a minimum of 6 children a day. While they are taught to teach the equipment with care, the headphones still suffer a lot of wear and tear.

My students attend a magnet school in a low income district.

They are fortunate to have a computer lab and computer class once or twice a week. In many cases, they don't have computers at home, so they look forward to computer class. In addition to learning computer skills, technology is used to augment their other subjects, as well.

My Project

Since my district is low income, supplies are hard to come by and the ones we get are not always the best quality. We go through a lot of headphones. The headphones are important especially for the younger children, since the reading and math programs they use require sound. The older students often use sound as well. I'm asking for quality headphones that will hopefully withstand daily use for a couple of years.

In this day and age, it is so important for the students to learn computer skills.

Technology has also become a great way to enhance their other skills. Good headphones will enable the students to get the most out of their limited time in the computer lab.
