My Project
I teach at a Title 1 school and our students all come from diverse backgrounds and have something to bring into our classroom. Our little learners love to sit and listen to familiar stories. Once they have heard the story repeatedly they begin to practice retelling the stories to themselves and to their peers. This helps build so many different literacy skills and gives a great foundation for reading.
This project will help my students strengthen their love of reading and story telling with some favorites and some new stories.
We are requesting some finger puppets as well to spark their imagination when retelling their stories. Thank you for considering this project and for valuing early childhood education!
