This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Some call us engineers while others call us innovators, but we don't, mind you, just thinking of us as the "Knights in Coding Armor!"

Our school is a new STEM school rich in PBL and community.

We are a public magnet school offering a unique curriculum rich in "doing" and based on experiences. Our empowering atmosphere has attracted students from miles around, but what's most special, is that we are located in the heart of a diverse community that is categorized as being the most in need of a high-quality education. Students at our school come from a wide range of backgrounds and we are proud that we are able to support and nurture innovative STEM education to students of all backgrounds.

Your support helps us continue to offer an education built for the workforce of tomorrow using the skills and technology that will be required in the most sought after careers.

My Project

This project will benefit the entire sixth grade of New Bridge School in Ogden City School District through a collaborative effort of William Docksey, John Edwards, Brian Johnson, and Ursula Chamberlain-Jones.

The home garden offers a nearly endless opportunity for students to examine phenomena while learning lifelong skills to a healthier lifestyle.

Everything from the movement of energy in an environment to stabilizing ecosystems will be shared with students as they embark on their new adventure in growing.

The goal of this project is to bring the home garden into the classroom where students will observe, tend, and learn all about growing healthy plants that are beneficial to consumers. In our urban community space is at a premium. This project will not only aid students in what it takes to grow plants, but also how to maximize an environment.
