Help me give my students hands-on materials to help them grow as readers!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in First, Second, and Third Grade, and they include English Language Learners, Reclassified ELs, and English Language Only students. I see my students in small groups for 30 minutes of daily reading intervention. All students at my school receive free breakfast in the classroom and free lunch.
Every day I provide each group of students with individualized instruction including phonemic awareness development, basic concepts of print, alphabetic principle, and decoding.
These books and hands-on materials will help my students to master these concepts and become confident, independent readers.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
