Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our school has gone "Green"! We are learning about recycling, reusing, and other ways that we can take care of our natural resources. My third grade students are becoming more aware of their impact on the world, and would love to learn more.

We don't have funds to purchase books about going green at our site, but my students want more! They already recycle paper in our class, our water bottles get collected and put into a bin, we turn lights out when we leave the room, and we even wear green in our uniform as part of our efforts! We would like to read more about other ways we can make smart choices.

I am requesting a small library of books about being environmentally aware, from recycling to eco-friendly crafts. My students can select books to read and I can read them aloud in our quest to learn about how we can make a difference in the environment. They can be used again and again each year!
