Reading helps my students to reach new places, learn new facts, and ask more questions. What more is there? Reading opens doors- and that is what my students need. Can you help us?
My students consist of a group of happy and eager third graders who are excited to learn.
My wonderful students are committed to learning, and just want books to help them grow. I am new to third grade, and don't have the resources that they desire in order to grow as independent readers. My students attend a public school.
My Project
I am requesting for my students a set of non fiction and narrative texts that are at their reading level. These books have the power to change their entire reading future. For some, the non fiction books will inspire them to continue reading or in some cases ask questions of the world around them. Isn't that what real learning is about? For others, the fiction set will inspire great story writing in them and give them a chance to "get lost" in a book. This is what leads to great authoring. My students deserve the opportunity to have great books in their hands. We would be so thankful for your help!
