Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach forth and fifth grade special needs students in a high-need community. Many of my students are also English language learners.
Many of my students have not developed a love for reading. Before they go on to middle school, I would like to help them discover that reading is not simply a task but rather a world to get lost in.
In order to motivate my students to to read for pleasure instead of only when they are required, I am asking for several high interest books and resources. By choosing high interest reading material I hope to capture my students interest during class activities and read-alouds.
Your donation will ensure that my students have access to quality literature that motivates them to read and helps them develop a true love for literature.
