This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach 2nd grade in the Bronx. My students are enthusiastic learners who are excited to be in school.
The children in my class are creative, thoughtful, and so inquisitive!
They are excited to be back in school in person after learning at home for 18 months.
My Project
My students all have access to ipads and computers, however we do not have headphones for them to use. Without headphones the noise level in the classroom is too loud, and students cannot concentrate on their own learning.
Providing each student with a pair of headphones will allow multiple children to work in the same space together without distractions and interruptions.
We will also be able to bring these headphones to the computer lab with us, since most of the headphones there do not work. It will be such a time saver to not have to spend our entire lab time trying to find working headphones!
