Help me give my students an iPad to teach them how to communicate!

My Students
I am a speech-language pathologist in a special education middle-high school, working with a caseload of 23 students across 12:1:4, 6:1:1, 8:1:1, and 12:1:1 classrooms.
My students are curious, hardworking, fun-loving, and inspire me every day!
They are primarily nonverbal, but they come to school eager to communicate! We incorporate learning and communicating in a variety of settings including the classroom, vocational settings, and the community.
My students love to socialize with teachers, staff, peers, and community workers, and I would want to help them find their voice with the use of AAC on an iPad device.
My Project
I am requesting an iPad to use with my nonverbal students who do not have iPads or AAC devices of their own. I have so many ideas to use AAC during vocational tasks, literacy, and community trips, but my students require a “voice!” If I can use an iPad during speech therapy and community trips, I can teach my students how to communicate with Augmentative and Alternative Communication, and help them build the path to advocate for themselves, socialize with peers, and help them find which communication app is the best fit for each of them, so they may be able to get a device of their own someday.
The donations for this project will help my students effectively communicate wants, needs, and learn the proper skills to socialize.
My students are the best and deserve to find their voice!
